This winter vacation, I had a full and wonderful academic journey. In this essay, I will first give a brief description of the course learning process, and then talk about what I have learned from the course.
In the first two weeks of the course, Professor Mark showed us the whole process of English academic paper writing, from diction to sentence formation to content arrangement, and gave us a lot of examples to help us better understand the relevant content. This part of the course is highly practical and operable. In the latter part of the class, the young and energetic Professor Helal taught presentation skills, creative and critical thinking, reading and writing. Each of Professor Helal's lectures is very informative and enlightening. In short, two experienced and responsible teachers led us to swim in the ocean of academic knowledge.
As you can see, with excellent and responsible teachers, we students can naturally gain a lot of useful knowledge.
First of all, I have learned a lot of practical writing and presentation skills, which is of great help to complete a standard and authentic English academic paper. This has undoubtedly improved my academic writing ability, or at least made my academic papers look more professional.
Secondly, in terms of thinking, I have acquired the methods and skills of creative thinking and critical thinking. Compared with writing and presentation, thinking ability is a more essential ability, and the improvement process of this ability is complicated and lengthy. However, once it is improved, it will play a huge role in the improvement of academic ability.
Finally, I have to say that in nearly two months of pure English courses, my English ability has been significantly improved, which is not something that can be brought by doing examination paper.
All in all, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to the college and all the teachers.
