I am very honored and happy to participate in the course provided by Oxford University this spring.
The teacher's accent is clear and easy to understand, the speed of speaking is just right, and it is easy to keep up with the progress of the course. The course provides an introduction to various perspectives and debates in contemporary social theory, with a focus on American and European thought, and the teaching methods are highly interactive and participatory.
The teaching method is based on rich question and answer interaction, often supported by friendly and well understood examples from the professor, before starting each session with a discussion of questions. There are also individual English presentations and individual essay writing, providing useful feedback at all stages to review what has been learnt. The course materials and auxiliary course materials are sufficient, and the overall experience is good. Before each class I would read the reading material given by the professor and the sociological theory mind map he had recorded during his undergraduate years, and discuss with my partner the questions to be prepared
After rich group cooperation, discussion and demonstration, I have a high degree of participation in the course, can deeply explore academic issues, and put forward more questions, while cultivating the ability of English academic expression.
The content of the course is detailed, and the overall study of essence of modernity and its development has been carried out, covering a wide range, improving the ability of academic criticism and critical thinking, and obtaining the thinking experience from multiple perspectives.
On the whole, it was a very meaningful experience for me. These gains will have a profound impact on my future.
